The CR2, CR2500, CR3, CR3500 and CR8000 are each equipped with a patented dual-lens design that expands the reading range of the imager by providing two unique fields of view in one bar code reader.

The CR2500, CR3500 and CR8000 split the imager into a high-density field and a wide angle field. This gives the user a device that can read both very wide bar codes and very small bar codes in a single unit. (The green dots on Figure 3 indicate different sizes of bar codes a CR2500 or CR3500 can identify and decode using the same reader)

The CR2 and CR3 are equipped with a near field and far field for applications that require a longer depth of field.
