Code bar code readers come preloaded with Dynamic Optimization Technology
(DOT). DOT automatically improves decode performance by continually
processing resolution, illumination, and image field settings for
the fastest possible symbol identification. From the moment you turn
on your reader, you are taking full advantage of the dual path 1.3
megapixel imager and 400 MHz processor. DOT achieves decoding speeds
for 2D codes that are similar to speeds usually only seen in laser/1D
readers.
You may further optimize DOT technology by scanning predefined
environment parameters from the user manual. By setting simple parameters
such as symbol size and type, the reader will produce instanteous decodes.
