Code launched its newest bar code reader, the Code Reader™ 900FD (CR900FD) at the National Retail Federation 101st Annual Convention& Expo, in New York City, New York, January 16-17, 2012.
The CR900FD is an entry-level, area imaging bar code reader with flexible decoding capabilities. The CR900FD features full omnidirectional reading of standard 1D bar codes, and gives users the option to upgrade to 2D or stacked bar code reading at a later date with the purchase of a license key.
“For the same price as a laser scanner, retailers can deploy the CR900FD across their enterprise for use in current applications and have confidence in knowing that their hardware investment will not be obsolete as their applications change with market demands,” said Garrett Russell, VP of Marketing for Code. “With a variety of flexible decoding options, our customers can future proof their investment, by purchasing only what they need, but have the advantage of using the latest and most powerful imaging platform on the market.”
